Yup yup yup. Mark is safe and sound onboard the USS COWPENS. What a flight! Eleven and a half hours from LA to Japan, an hour and a half layover, and a three and a half hour flight to Guam is what I call long. No three hour tours for this giligan.
By the way, thanks for all of the support you all gave Alisa and I while moving. It is a strangely hectic time and I am glad it is over. I'm settling in to my new role on board today and things are already getting busy. :)
That's it for now.
Much love,
Mark

Glad to know you are safe & sound. Sounds like Alisa is enjoying the adventure so far.

Wow! Japan! We are so happy you arrived, albeit it took forever, you made it!! When you get settled, catch a train to Tokyo & check out the Akihabara Electronics district, or the beaches at the tip of the Miura peninsula. There's a 300,000 square foot Fleet Recreation Center, located near the Waterfront where you have access to a huge gym, racquetball courts, weight rooms, outdoor activities & an internet cafe. Alisa & Mark-you are so brave and we miss you. Love Dad & Francine, oh and Blu too!
can't wait til you're with me in japan..i miss you!
Hey, Mark and Alisa!
Glad you made it safe and sound to your new home for the next 18 months.
How's the food and the weather?
Mark, how is your new ship?
Miss you both...

P.S. Apryle made Coaches' All Conference (Colonial) in soccer; she started varsity as a freshman this year. Her team (Audubon) had three playoff games. They beat Willingboro and Middle Twp. (Cape May Court House), but lost to Cinnaminson. She scored the second goal (direct kick - 23 yards) and won the game for her team, 2-1, against Middle Twp.
Her season is over now...
Love, love your new digs! How quaint & cozy.... wouldn't it be crazy if there was a little one playing in that cute Japanese garden? (She!!) Harry is arriving tonight & he, Dad, Ty & others are attending the Notre Dame/Navy game tomorrow. Go Navy. Ok, here is a thought to ponder; The more we sweat in peace, the less we bleed in war. Pass it on!!
Love you guys.
